![]() ![]() ![]() I prefer being on the attack so my templates reflect a composition that best favours that.Unleashing a storm of high-stakes heists, PAYDAY 3 promises unprecedented co-op FPS action. These are not the broad conditions you asked about however. Likewise if I am playing around a lot mountains then infantry is valuable as defensive is favoured. If I am playing a nation where I know I am going to be on the defensive then my army will have almost always be pure infantry as they thrive in those battles. Of course I am flexible and if I am playing a smaller nation with budget concerns I will generally use infantry while saving up for a cavalry push once the cavalry upgrade tech hits. At this point the switch towards infantry focused armies is wise. Of course as the game goes on, large nations start to form and manpower damage becomes much less effective as a tool and economics start to take centre stage as the meat grinder gets rolling. This means you can take more money off defeated foes by extending your ability to fight and make those you defeat take longer to expand elsewhere. You do not gain any bulk amounts of men back unless you at a peace for a prolonged period of time and can drill for slacken standards.Īs long as you take smart fights and don't waste the offensive shock pips of cavalry on bad terrain or defensive battles then you can save a lot of manpower and likewise inflict a lot of manpower damage to enemies. You can't take loans for manpower, barring mercenaries which cost even more gold then a few extra cavalry regiments. ![]() Even if you lose you can declare bankruptcy and remove that debt for a small speed bump, granted you manage it correctly. You can take loans for gold and as long as you win you can take that cost from your defeated enemies. In the early game I prize manpower far more then I do gold. In seriousness however I will explain my logic. You just hit the recruit cavalry regiment button 8 times. Its pretty simply to get 8 cavalry at the start with every nation. Cav is damn expensive early on, i dont even understand how veryhungryperson is able to get a stack with 8 cavs right at the start with apparently every nation. ![]() I know that cav is really good early on, but i never go over 2 except when playing specific nations like Poland. But i dont think i can help much with more efficiency. But that was unnecessary, because they won't move if their AI is disabled And I forgot to mention that I removed the fort in Caen to avoid the english army moving somewhere where I can't follow. Here are the screenshots for all the remaining days of the battle:Įven at the end of the battle, the cavalry are still in their original positions and are not flanking.Įdit: forgot part of the ai command. None of the calvalry has changed their position. Here is a screenshot after a few more infantry have fled: Then I would expect that the outermost Franch cavalry moves inwards one space(if flanking was improved as you say) so that they can flank again, but that doesn't happen. Here is a screenshot from the early part of the battle:Īfter 12 days, the outermost english infantry leaves the battlefield(or maybe their numbers reached 0). The outermost english infantry gets a lot of losses, because they get attacked by 5 cavalry each. attack the english army in Caen with 17 infantry and 10 cavalry. The way you afford it.Well it's running at 1 ducat / month until you expand lol.Īi eng to switch off the ai of england so that it doesn't move its troops The way to make this work is avoid battles in rough terrain and defensive battles at all costs + attack from multiple direction. Usually my army comps in the 15th century (well of course it depends of your force limit) would be 10 inf + 4 cav and I would focus on quality and offense (unless playing non-western.Which never happens) for shock and cav combat ability with all offensive unit types. Reason im asking is because I dont know if im doing the best composition i could be doing Its tech 13 when i look to make the 4 2 4 stacks Originally posted by PunishedMuskovy:Wasnt Napoleon the first one in history to do a full back line of Artillery or something?Īlso I don't think I have much problems with composition, except early game i just make a bunch of Inf and maybe a couple cavs if my income is good ![]()
